These photos were shot as part of a series which was commissioned by and published in the Journal of Curriculum Theorizing (Summer 2002).  The theme revolved around banned literature and media in educational institutions.  This series plays on many issues, some of which include media, race, social un/acceptance, and patriotism.  In the photos, the figure is bound with VHS film (and gagged with keyboard keys in "Taboo").
SOS Art 2005 (pictured top left) , was the first time any of the photos have been shown in a gallery setting.
