  Eastridge is pleased to be taking part in this year's SOS ART 2008 (program below) in Cincinnati.  As always, this exhibition is an art show and event of sociopolitical expressions for peace and justice.  This year, Eastridge's topic is HUNGER.  The statistics for hunger are rising in our very own communities, and while many of us must spend time figuring out how to afford daily living costs (gas, food, rent, etc.), oftentimes those who need help the most (by placing meals on their tables) are forgotten.  Eastridge invites anyone who attends the exhibition, to take action by placing a canned good/s on the floor below her piece in the gallery.  At the conclusion of the exhibition, all donations will be delivered to the Freestore Foodbank in Cincinnati.

  8:30pm:          Potluck reception and Music Entertainment by “Ain’t from Around Here” and “Soundclick.com/Lastboppers”
   
  Saturday May 31
  7:00pm:          Poetry reading facilitated by Jerry Judge
  9:00pm:          Music Recital: Native flutes, played by Janice T. (Sunflower), www.SunflowerTones.net
  
  Sunday June 1
  3:00pm:          Documentary movie on Non-Violence: “A Force More Powerful”
  followed by an open discussion on Non-Violence, facilitated by Brian Garry
   
  Saturday June 7
  7:00pm:          Poetry reading facilitated by Michael Henson
  9:00pm:          Dance Performance with Tadashi Kato and Jessica McKelvey
  
  Sunday June 8
  3:00pm:          Documentary movie: “Favela Rising” illustrating the role the arts can play in social change
  4:30pm:          Artists discussion and closing potluck reception.
  
  The art exhibition runs the entire length of the event
